2023 Flower Arranging Demonstration Schedule:

Thursday Morning Demonstrations through the Summer Term

10.30am (Free to attend :)

04/05 Dried fluffy cloud - I will demonstrate how to create a statement fluffy, dried sustainable, suspended cloud, using easy to come by materials and dried foliage which you can grow and dry yourselves to create a show stopper centre piece for any event.

11/05 Sustainable simple flower crowns for Garden Day, using bits you can forage from your garden (or someone else’s) I’ll show you a rustic method of how to make a fun head dress.

18/05 Buttonholes/place settings I will teach you how to select and gather small collections of flowers that make perfect buttonholes, delicate decorations for tables or even presents!

25/05 An introduction to wiring. I will show you a range of techniques using seasonal blooms and leaves which are transferable to corsages, flower crowns and larger scale work such as garlands or intricate installations

Half-Term (Sorry, no demonstrations this week)

08/06 Wired flower crowns. Using more traditional floristry skills, I will explain how to make a crown, that will last longer than one foraged from your garden!

15/06 Hand tied vase arrangement - You will be shown how to condition and arrange seasonal flowers and foliage, using the spiral technique, in a vase. 

22/06 Vase, Jar and Bottle arrangements (Ideal for DIY weddings, events and general fun)

Get the most out of your vessels, by choosing the right stem for the right container.

29/06 Sustainable Arrangement Solutions - Helping you select a range of materials that can

be used over and over again, when creating an arrangement. Alternatives to the "Oasis" brick.

Including flower arranging within those boundaries.

06/07 Hair Combs - Using a choice selection of flowers and wiring techniques I will explain and demonstrate how to make a beautiful hair comb to wear to any event or just part of your normal day! 

13/07 Hand tied vase arrangement - You will be shown how to condition and arrange seasonal flowers and foliage, using the spiral technique, in a vase.

20/07 The finale! I will be completing two large vertical displays “Towers of Flowers” explaining my methods as I go. Using a different technique on each tower. Resulting in a large installation, ideal for weddings and parties.
